Libraries play a critical role in making scientific and academic information available to their users. With an increasing amount of online material, they also become more and more important as repositories and archives of digital information. PeerPremier is working actively with libraries to make peer reviewed manuscripts available to the public.
COAR is an example of how Universities and libraries around the world can work together to make information more accessible. It is an international association with 156 members and partners from around the world representing libraries, universities, research institutions, government funders and others. COAR brings together individual repositories and repository networks in order to build capacity, align policies and practices, and act as a global voice for the repository community.
